The New York Knicks will hire Brendan O’Connor away from the Los Angeles Clippers as an assistant coach, reports Frank Isola.
O’Connor has been with the Los Angeles Clippers since 2013 under both Doc Rivers and Tyrone Lue. O’Connor also was an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons when they won the NBA championship in 2004 under Larry Brown.
Stefan Bondy of the New York Post reports that O’Connor will be the Knicks’ defensive coordinator under Mike Brown.
