The bronze medal team matches also concluded today, with Australia, Türkiye, India, Chinese Taipei, Mexico, Ukraine and Spain all securing medals.

“We all feel like a family,” said Ximena Estrada of the Mexican under-21 compound team, who defeated Spain 223–220. “Almost too much chemistry. It’s an honour to represent our country.”

Australia’s under-21 men’s bronze medal was a highlight of the day. They beat third-seeded India and pushed second-seeded USA to a shoot-off.

“We came here expecting to medal,” said Jai Crawley. “We’ve been putting in a lot of work, and I think we’ve earned it.”

Chinese Taipei won the under-18 compound men’s bronze medal without having to shoot, after Canada, the quarterfinal winners from the opposite side of the draw, were disqualified for failing to sign their scorecard.

Competition continues on Friday with individual eliminations and the team gold medal matches.
