Kris Statlander isn’t stopping at just one championship reign—she wants both titles around her waist, and she’s not being subtle about it.
During her interview on Close Up with Renee Paquette, the AEW Women’s World Champion laid out her bold vision: not just defending her current title, but becoming the first woman in AEW history to hold both the Women’s World and TBS Championships at the same time.
“Sure, I was the first ever person to be TBS Champion and the World Champion, but what if… what if I want to be the first ever two-time TBS Champion? Like, what if I want to be the first ever [to] hold both of them at the same time? Like, there’s so much more…”
Statlander is no stranger to carving out firsts in AEW—she became the first woman to win both major singles titles already. But this next goal is all about cementing a legacy, not just collecting hardware. She’s hungry to prove there’s always another level.
“I want to be a memorable champion. I want to be an inspiring champion, and I want to be a champion that when people see the way I carry the belt, they want to do it the way I did.”
And while she’s plotting her next move, Statlander isn’t ignoring the competition. She had a pointed message for one high-profile name who’s been circling the division.
“You hear that, Mercedes? She thinks she’s coming for me. You better watch your back, girl.”
Kris Statlander chasing a double title reign could reshape the AEW women’s division in a major way—and with Mercedes Moné in her sights, things might escalate fast.
