South Decatur traveled to Brown County Saturday to put a wrap on the 2025-26 regular season. The Lady Cougars led at every break en route to the 51-33 victory.
The Lady Cougars end the regular season at 10-12. Brown County finishes at 3-20.

South took a 14-9 lead after the first quarter. Raegan Benge and Riley Benge had the first two buckets for the Lady Cougars. A 3-pointer by Dalilah Martin closed South’s scoring in the quarter. Martin, Raegan Benge and Riley Benge all had four points. Lyndsey Shireman added a bucket for two points.
South extended the lead to 28-15 at the half. Raegan Benge scored six points in the second quarter for South. Riley Benge and Skylar AmRhein both hit from beyond the 3-point are. Lilly Murray buried a pair of free throws.
South outscored Brown County 15-12 in the third quarter. Raegan Benge led South with seven points in the quarter. Sophia Wittkamper added a pair of buckets for four points. Martin and Riley Benge both had two points as South led 43-27 heading to the fourth quarter.
In the final eight minutes, South held the Lady Eagles to six points to post the 51-33 victory. The Benge sisters combined for all eight points in the quarter for South.

For the game, Raegan Benge tallied 23 points and 19 rebounds for her double-double. Riley Benge finished with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. Martin added six points, three rebounds and four assists. Wittkamper had four points and two rebounds. AmRhein added three points and one rebound. Murray had two points and one rebound. Shireman scored two points. Jocelynne Collins grabbed three rebounds.
South enters sectional action at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Waldron against North Decatur (9-12).
