The Texas Longhorns Women’s Basketball team capped a great week by jumping two spots in the newest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll to No. 2. The Lady Longhorns jumped UCLA and South Carolina. Texas beat the Bruins and the Gamecocks on back-to-back nights in the 2025 Players Era Championship basketball tournament in Las Vegas.
Texas is 8-0 on the season and haven’t really been challenged except for the South Carolina game. Lady Longhorns star Rori Harmon hit an 11-foot jump shot with 00:0.8 on the clock to beat the Gamecocks 66-64. Texas beat UCLA the night before comfortably 76-65.

There are eight SEC and Big Ten teams ranked in the Top 25. The ACC and Big 12 each have four teams ranked and the Big East has just the top-ranked Huskies.
