Lady Vols basketball’s road matchup at Ole Miss has been postponed due to inclement weather in the region.
No. 17 Tennessee (14-3, 6-0 SEC) was scheduled to face No. 18 Ole Miss (17-4, 4-2) at SJB Pavilion in Oxford, Mississippi, on Jan. 26. The original game time was for 7 p.m. ET, which was moved up to 4 p.m. before the game was ultimately postponed on Jan. 25.

The game will be rescheduled, and the new date and time will be announced later.
The Lady Vols’ next game will be against Mississippi State at Food City Center on Jan. 29 (6:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network+).
Tennessee does not have any open dates left in its SEC schedule. Each SEC team gets two open dates in the conference slate, and the Lady Vols filled one of those with their road game at UConn on Feb. 1. Their lone open date already passed on Jan. 15.
The matchup with the Rebels was set to be the third straight ranked matchup for Tennessee. The Lady Vols are coming off two straight wins over Alabama and Kentucky for their first ranked wins of the season. If the game against Ole Miss cannot be rescheduled, UT will lose out on a chance to strengthen its NCAA tournament resume.

However, the extra time between games gives the Lady Vols a buffer to get Janiah Barker back before they take the court again. The senior forward missed the win against Kentucky on Jan. 22 after getting hit in the face in the fourth quarter at Alabama on Jan. 18. Barker did not return to the game and was out on the SEC injury report for Kentucky, although she was in the building for the game.
