No. 9 Tennessee (1-1) defeated ETSU (0-2), 97-47, in its 2025-26 home opener Friday at Food City Center.
The Lady Vols led, 49-14, at halftime after outscoring the Buccaneers, 27-5, in the first quarter.

Tennessee’s Zee Spearman scored a game-high 24 points. She also totaled six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Spearman converted 5-of-13 field goal attempts, 3-of-8 three-point attempts and 11-of-15 free throw attempts. She was one of four Lady Vols to score 10-plus points against the Buccaneers.
Talaysia Cooper recorded 18 points, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Janaiah Barker had 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and one block, while Mia Pauldo finished with 12 points, one assist and one steal.
Paige Lyons and Emmah McAmis scored 10 points each to lead ETSU.
Tennessee next plays Sunday when it travels to UT Martin to play the Skyhawks (0-1) in the 2025 Pat Summitt Heritage Classic. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m. EST at Kathleen and Tom Elam Center in Martin, Tennessee.

The game is named in honor of former Lady Vols head coach Pat Summitt, who played at UT Martin.
