Lady Vols defeat Stanford basketball in ACC/SEC Challenge

No. 17 Tennessee (6-2) defeated Stanford (8-2), 65-62, Wednesday in the ACC/SEC Challenge at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, California.

Talaysia Cooper recorded a double-double for the Lady Vols. She totaled 19 points and a career-high 10 steals. Cooper also had six assists and two rebounds. The Lady Vols led, 28-24, at halftime after Janaiah Barker converted a three-point field goal as time expired in the second quarter.

Mia Pauldo recorded 14 points, three rebounds, two steals and one assist. She was one of four Tennessee players to score 10-plus points against the Cardinal, who committed 30 turnovers and resulted in 25 points for the Lady Vols.

Zee Spearman had 13 points, eight rebounds, four steals and one assist, while Barker finished with 10 points, three rebounds, one block and one steal for the Lady Vols.
