No. 13 Tennessee (5-1) defeated Coppin State (1-5), 88-35, Sunday at Food City Center.
The win was the 1,500th in Lady Vols’ program history, making Tennessee the first women’s college basketball team to reach the milestone.

Tennessee led, 45-21, at halftime after scoring 31 points off 22 Eagles’ turnovers in the first half, and outscoring Coppin State, 21-6, in the second quarter.
Nya Robertson set the Lady Vols’ single-game record for three points as she converted 10, breaking Samara Spencer’s record of nine, set last season against North Carolina Central. Robertson scored 32 points, tying her career high. She also totaled three rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block. Robertson made 11-of-19 field goal attempts and 10-of-16 three-point attempts. She was one of four Tennessee players to score 10-plus points.
Janiah Barker recorded 19 points, eight rebounds, five steals and one assist, while Talaysia Cooper posted a double-double as she had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Cooper also recorded nine assists and seven rebounds.
Zee Spearman had 10 points and seven rebounds for Tennessee, which scored 57 points off 36 Coppin State turnovers.

Tennessee outrebounded the Eagles, 47-33. Shanaii Gamble scored eight points to lead Coppin State.
