No. 9 Tennessee defeated Columbus State, 148.-48, Wednesday in an exhibition game at Food City Center.
The Lady Vols led, 65-25, at halftime after outscoring the Cougars, 37-14, in the first quarter.
Nya Robertson, Ruby Whitehorn, Mia Pauldo and Jersey Wolfenbarger each scored 18 points for Tennessee. Talaysia Cooper scored 17 points and Janiah Barker totaled 15 points and 10 rebounds. She also had six steals and four assists.

Cooper also recorded seven steals, six assists and four rebounds, while Jaida Civil had 10 points, four assists, three steals and two rebounds for the Lady Vols.
Tennessee converted 50-of-92 field goal attempts, 13-of-31 three-point attempts and 35-of-52 free throw attempts.
The Lady Vols’ defense forced 45 turnovers in the contest and outrebounded Columbus State, 67-33.
Tennessee opens its regular season on Nov. 4 versus No. 8 North Carolina State in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. EST and ESPN2 will televise the contest.
