Gold Rush is coming, and now we know that it will include a hard-hitting NXT Title match. After chaos broke out all night, Trick Williams will get another show.
The October 28 episode of NXT brought a ton of fallout after Halloween Havoc. The show opened up with Ricky Saints and Trick Williams brawling all over the NXT Arena, and they showed up again at the top of the second hour. That wasn’t the only time we’d see them during the night.
The TNA Knockouts Title match closed out this week’s NXT as the main event. Sadly, they didn’t get to finish it without Trick Williams and Ricky Saints’ issues spilling into the match.
The ongoing fight between Trick Williams and Ricky Saints spilled to ringside. Kelani Jordan used the distraction to bring her title belt into the ring, then kicked out of a near fall from Grace. As Trick and Ricky continued brawling through the ring, the match moved forward. Jordan then used the title to strike Grace and got the pin to retain the Knockouts Championship.
After the match, the fight between Trick and Ricky kept going. Ava appeared and announced a Last Man Standing Match for the NXT Title, set to take place in two weeks at NXT Gold Rush. It appears that this match may be a featured contest on the November 18 edition of Gold Rush.
Blake Monroe will also defend her NXT Women’s North American Title during Gold Rush. Only time will tell who her opponent will be.
We will keep a close eye on the Gold Rush card, because it will include title matches from NXT, EVOLVE, TNA, and AAA. Only time will tell what else they bring to the table for that big two-week event.
