Lexie Hull Celebrates Angel Reese’s Return to Unrivaled Basketball League

by

Lexie Hull and the Indiana Fever did not have the finish to the 2025 WNBA season they had hoped for. Despite being without Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham for the entire playoffs, the Fever managed to upset the Atlanta Dream in the opening round before falling one win short of a Finals appearance against the Las Vegas Aces.

Hull, in her fourth season with Indiana, had arguably the best year of her WNBA career in 2025. She finished the regular season averaging career highs of 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists, beginning the year coming off the bench before eventually replacing DeWanna Bonner in the starting lineup.

With the WNBA offseason underway, Hull has remained active, competing in the second season of the 3-on-3 women’s basketball league Unrivaled. For a second straight year, the former Stanford guard is playing for Rose BC, which sits fifth in the standings at 5-6 as of Wednesday.

After fellow Fever guard Aari McDonald was ruled out for the remainder of the Unrivaled season with a right leg injury, and a three-team trade created additional roster movement, Rose BC had an open spot to fill. Just as it did last year, the team turned to Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, who joined the roster after missing the early portion of Season 2.

Reese, just like she has been in two years with the Sky, was a double-double machine in season 1 of Unrivaled, averaging 13.3 points on 46.9% shooting and 12.4 rebounds, which will be extremely helpful for Rose BC this year, as they rank dead-last in total rebounds per game at 30.0.

Hull appeared to be excited with Reese’s return to the team, sending a message to the Chicago star on her Instagram Story: “THE ROSEBUD WE’VE BEEN MISSING 🌹@AREESE.”
