Lexie Hull Makes Request to Sophie Cunningham Amid WNBA Offseason

by

For much of the 2025 WNBA season, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham were fixtures of the Indiana Fever’s backcourt But their campaigns took very different turns.

Hull, in her fourth season, played in every one of the Fever’s 44 regular-season games, averaging 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds and stepping into a larger offensive role as injuries mounted around her. Her consistency helped Indiana advance to the WNBA semifinals, the deepest run the franchise has enjoyed since 2015.

In contrast, Cunningham, acquired by the Fever in the 2025 offseason, had been a steady contributor early in the year, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists before suffering a season-ending right knee injury (MCL tear) in August, which sidelined her for the remainder of the campaign and the playoffs.

Now both players enter the 2026 offseason as free agents, and their futures in Indiana remain a major storyline for Fever fans hoping the team returns to contention next season. Off the court, however, the two have maintained a close friendship, often supporting each other’s ventures and social posts throughout the year.

On Thursday, Cunningham shared a new photo on her Instagram wearing a stylish pair of Adidas sneakers:

“These are legit everyone’s favorite shoes! Dress them up or down. So swaggy yet elevated and clean…. thank me later🫶🏼😮‍💨✨ @adidasoriginals,” Cunningham captioned the post.

Shortly after, Hull replied in the comments with a friendly request: “Send me a pair 😍😍😍.”
