Despite Madrid's growing popularity, LIV Golf's Spanish tour will not change in 2026, although it will be held on other dates. From June 5th to 7th, the Saudi Arabian tour will return to Real Club Valderrama for the fourth consecutive year. The event has been brought forward, as players were reluctant to play on a course so different from a links course just a week before the British Open, but it remains.

Consistently considered among the best courses in Europe, Real Club Valderrama is a world-renowned course, home of the 1997 Ryder Cup, and renowned for its demanding conditions. However, since last year, the possibility of moving the Spanish event of the 54th International Championship to Madrid has been strongly considered, with the intention of generating a more vivid atmosphere for television and live broadcasts. In the Spanish capital, there was talk of having the Saudi Arabian circuit arrive at the Club de Campo in September, alongside Formula 1. However, the dates didn't fit into the plans of the 54th International Championship, which closes in August.
The 2026 LIV Golf calendar, in addition to Valderrama, will also include Riyadh (February 5-7), Adelaide (February 13-15), Singapore (March 13-15), South Africa (March 20-22), Mexico City (April 17-19), Virginia (May 8-10), and the United Kingdom (July 24-26). “Valderrama will always be a special place for me. The passion and energy in Andalusia are unmatched. It feels like a true homecoming every time we play here,” Sergio García celebrated Valderrama's inclusion. He will also be joined by Spanish representatives Jon Rahm, Josele Ballester, and David Puig.
