One victory from making their first World Series ever, the Mariners picked Logan Gilbert for that crucial assignment, sending him to the hill against Toronto for Game 6 of the ALCS on Sunday.
Gilbert started Game 2 of the ALCS, allowing three runs (two earned) in three innings in Seattle’s 10-3 victory. The right-hander had a 1.13 ERA in two appearances against the Tigers in the ALDS; he won Game 3 and pitched in relief in the 15-inning Game 5 clincher.
Gilbert, 28, was 6-6 with a 3.44 ERA in 25 starts in 2025.
