Longhorns Daily News: Paul Finebaum flip flops on Texas football, coach Steve Sarkisian

by

The mouth of South, ESPN’s SEC analyst Paul Finebaum, has had plenty of nice things to say about the Texas Longhorns. That is, until the Longhorns fell to the reigning national champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes, in Week 1.

Since Saturday, Finebaum, who was previously very high on Texas this season, can’t quit ragging on head coach Steve Sarkisian and his 2025 squad.

“Texas is the story. There’s no getting around it,” Finebaum said on The Matt Barrie Show earlier this week, according to On3. “[Sarkisian], for all the praise that he has received as this new-age play caller, looked pretty bad. This is another big-time, elite defense that outmatched him, and that’s becoming more of a trend right now. And I think if you’re a Texas fan, you need to be concerned.”
