AEW brought a live episode of Collision to try their luck on Thursday night for their July 31 episode. In the process, we saw the final breakup of an AEW tandem.
Billy Gunn was once alongside Max Caster and Anthony Bowens every week. They scissored themselves into a lot of merchandise sales charts for weeks, but their time is now over.
During AEW Dynamite this week, Anthony Bowens finally had a chance to have it out with Billy Gunn. The big question was “where were you?!” Gunn approached Bowens backstage, but he was met with an explosive response.
While yelling into the WWE Hall of Famer’s face, Anthony Bowens made it very clear that his partnership with Billy Gunn is now over. It appears that Bowens will do it himself from this point on, and it’s anyone’s guess what is in his future.
Tony Khan has a lot of options for the members of his roster, and no union lasts forever. Sadly, the scissoring antics of The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn has likely seen its last day in the spotlight.
