The young tennis player won the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, defeating Félix Auger-Aliassime.
Although some in the tennis world underestimate the importance of Olympic medals, believing that ATP titles and Grand Slams are much more important, many still value winning Olympic medals more than winning on the ATP tour.
“I think in terms of achievement and, you know, satisfaction, I think the bronze [medal].
The Olympic bronze is something really… I don’t know, I was playing for my country. It was in a moment that I would never expect, you know, to go till then.
But in terms of, you know, stats, the top five. But as I said on court, I don’t feel like it’s a finishing point, it’s a starting point for me, in my head.
Maybe I will never, you know, go higher, but my mentality is trying, you know, to go higher and to make that happen even soon.” he said.
Musetti's strong love for Italy
