Louisville basketball suffers early ACC setback. Any questions?

by

Louisville basketball had an eventful week on the West Coast, from throttling California to stumbling at Stanford while dealing with injuries that sidelined Mikel Brown Jr. and Kasean Pryor for both games.

“That’s part of basketball,” coach Pat Kelsey said after the No. 13 Cardinals (11-3, 1-1 ACC) suffered the early conference setback at Maples Pavilion. “We have to respond; we have to respond really well.”

For better and for worse, UofL’s schedule isn’t getting any easier, starting with a 7 p.m. tipoff Tuesday against No. 5 Duke at the KFC Yum! Center β€” a rematch of last season’s ACC Tournament championship. That’s one of six Quad 1 or Quad 2 opportunities on the docket this month, including a Jan. 26 game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
