No. 17 Louisville (12-3) defeated No. 18 Tennessee (7-3), 89-65, Saturday in the Shark Beauty Women’s Champions Classic at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The Cardinals led, 41-36, at halftime after the game was tied, 17-17, following the first quarter.

Zee Spearman recorded a double-double for the Lady Vols, totaling 18 points and 12 rebounds. She also recorded three blocks and one steal. Spearman converted 7-of-18 field goal attempts, 3-of-8 three point attempts and 1-of-3 free throw attempts. She was one three Tennessee players to score 10-plus points against Louisville, which defeated the Lady Vols for a fourth consecutive time.
Talaysia Cooper had 14 points, four assists, three steals and one rebound, while Mia Pauldo finished with 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal.
Janaiah Barker had seven points, seven rebounds, one block and one steal for Tennessee, which committed 17 turnovers in the contest, leading to 22 points for Louisville.
Tajianna Roberts scored 18 points to lead the Cardinals. She also totaled five rebounds, five assists and three blocks.

Tennessee will next play Dec. 22 versus Southern Indiana. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. EST at Food City Center (SEC Network+).
