BOCA RATON, FL — Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm seemingly shut down rumors about him leaving his hometown for Michigan after the Cards’ 27-22 Boca Raton Bowl victory over Toledo on Tuesday.
“I don’t speak on other jobs,” Brohm said. “I’m happy with this one. I’m happy about the victory. We’re going to enjoy that.”

Brohm is/was one of the more popular names to replace Sherrone Moore as the Wolverines’ head coach after Moore was fired earlier this month. Moore and Brohm nearly crossed paths at Louisville: Brohm was on the team’s coaching staff for five years (2003-08) but left for Florida Atlantic in 2009. That same year, Moore became a graduate assistant for the Cardinals then moved up to coach tight ends in 2012.
Brohm has been a hot name throughout the busier-than-normal coaching carousel, being linked to openings at Florida and Penn State. But he didn’t entertain the rumors and reportedly reaffirmed his commitment to the Cardinals during the season.
Brohm has a 28-12 record as Louisville’s head coach, including 9-4 this season.
