The LSU Tigers Women’s basketball team failed to reach 90 points for the first time this past weekend, but they righted that wrong on Tuesday afternoon in a 91-33 win over the Morgan State Lady Bears.
Kim Mulkey’s squad now moves into 12-0 with just two games to go before conference play starts up. Many will be excited to see SEC play come as the Tigers have yet to really be tested this season.

One group that won’t be worried about the blowout is the LSU fanbase that was attending on Tuesday, as it was this year’s field trip game. Children from schools around town filed in and made a ton of noise as the Tigers cruised to victory.
The highlight of this game came halfway through the third quarter when a Jada Richard bucket gave LSU a 67-20 lead. All of the kids in attendance, and the players, freaked out in celebration.
The “6-7” meme is the latest in a long line of things that kids find hilarious and leaves older people left confused. The amount of joy that it brought those in attendance can’t help but make the viewer smile.

Kim Mulkey spoke about it after the game and admitted that she had no clue what was going on, despite joining in on the celebration after her team egged her on. “I don’t know what they had me doing,” she joked (video via Cory Diaz).
Mikaylah Williams and Flau’Jae Johnson led the team in scoring with 14 points. It was another game where it was more of a squad effort than any one player carrying the load. There were 11 different Tigers that scored a bucket and grabbed at least one rebound. That’s everyone that played. Seven of them had an assist as well.
LSU’s next game will also be a matinee showing with a 1:00 pm matchup with the 5-5 UT Arlington Mavericks on Sunday, December 21.
