A top 10 matchup has been added to the upcoming UFC event in Mexico City.
Macy Chiasson will take on Ailin Perez in a ranked women’s bantamweight bout. The UFC Fight Night event takes place Feb. 28 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, and is headlined by a flyweight bout between former champion Brandon Moreno vs. Asu Almabayev. The promotion officially announced the booking Sunday.

Chiasson (10-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) and Perez (12-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) are ranked No. 7 and No. 8 in the UFC’s official women’s bantamweight rankings, respectively.
After a rough 2025, Chiasson will look to bounce back after a pair of losses to Ketlen Vieira and Yana Santos. The back-to-back setbacks followed back-to-back bonus-earning finishes of Pannie Kianzad and Mayra Bueno Silva in 2024.
Perez, on the other hand, has been running hot on a five-fight winning streak. Her current run includes decision wins over Ashlee Evans-Smith, Lucie Pudilova, Joselyne Edwards, and Karol Rosa. She also scored a first-round submission over Darya Zheleznyakova.
With the addition, the current UFC Mexico lineup inlcudes:
-
Brandon Moreno vs. Asu Almabayev
-
Macy Chiasson vs. Ailin Perez
-
Edagar Chairez vs. Felipe Bunes
-
Imanol Rodriguez vs. Kevin Borjas
-
Jose Medina vs. Ryan Gandra
-
Wes Schultz vs. Damian Pinas
