The Maine Celtics continue winning — and it’s seemingly a different player stepping up every night. The Celtics’ G League affiliate has won 6 straight games to improve to 6-3 on the season after an 0-3 start to the year.

On Sunday, in a 122-95 win over the Westchester Knicks, it was Celtics guard Stefan Todorovic who had himself a career night. Todorovic, a former star at Pepperdine College, finished with 31 points on 11-19 shooting, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds.

Alongside him, Hayden Gray tallied 16 points and 12 assists, and Kendall Brown finished with 23 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Todorovic and Gray both saw increased opportunities because the Celtics’ three two-way players — Amari Williams, Max Shulga, and Ron Harper Jr — are all with the Boston Celtics in Cleveland for their Sunday night game against the Cavaliers.

And, while Todorovic’s career night came on Sunday, Gray’s breakthrough came on Friday, when he scored 24 points on 8-12 shooting in a win over the Knicks.

Additionally, center Hason Ward tallied a 14-point, 11-rebound, 10-block triple-double on Friday. The former Iowa State star has started the last two games for the Celtics, with Williams with the parent club in the wake of Neemias Queta’s ankle sprain. (Williams tallied an NBA career-high 15 minutes in a game against the Detroit Pistons last Wednesday).

So far this season, Maine’s leading scorer has been two-way player Ron Harper Jr, who is averaging 29.2 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals. Brown is averaging 15.3 points. Two-way player Max Shulga is averaging 13.8 points and 6.4 assists, while Williams is averaging 12.7 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists.

The Maine Celtics (6-3) have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, trailing only Raptors 905 (7-0), the Toronto Raptors’ G League affiliate. Next up, they’ll host the College Park Skyhawks at the Portland Expo on Saturday, December 6th at 1pm ET.
