The best tennis player of all time, Novak Djokovic, is one of the oldest players in tournaments. In addition to the Serbs, tennis fans can still enjoy the matches of the 40-year-old Swiss Sten Wawrinka, as well as the 37-year-old Croatian Marin Cilic.

Currently, the only four active tennis players who have played in all four Grand Slam semifinals are Novak Djokovic, Marin Cilic, Carlos Alkaraz and Janik Siner.
Marin Cilic is a tennis player who has repeatedly praised Novak Djokovic, emphasizing that Novak is a great inspiration for him.
In an interview with Tennis Channel, the experienced Croatian tennis player was asked if Novak Djokovic's recent successes have motivated him.
“Huge inspiration, you can see how devoted he is,” said Cilic.
“Even after last year, for a champion as he is, having four Slam semifinals and tough losses against Jannik [Sinner] and Carlos [Alcaraz] in those four. And still keeps on believing, working on his game.
“In Australia, he started to play more aggressive, played incredibly well.”
Passion for tennis
What connects Cilic and Djokovic is obvious – both show perseverance and love for tennis even in the later stages of their careers.
Marin pointed out that the fact that both are still fighting at the highest level inspires him.
The Croatian tennis player said that this season brings him great motivation, that he enjoys being on the court and that he is grateful to the fantastic team behind him, stressing that they did a great job together in the preparatory period.
The 37-year-old expects a lot from this season, even though he is in his late playing years.
Cilic also does not hide that he has a good relationship with Novak Djokovic.
When asked if they talked after the final of the Australian Open, Cilic said that they did not, but that he still has great respect for the Serbian tennis player.
