In an extensive interview for a Croatian sports newspaper, 'Sportske Novosti', Marin Cilic discussed various topics, including the most difficult moments, such as the injuries that marked his career, and successes in various tournaments.
His comments about family attracted special attention.
When asked by a reporter if it is easier when your family follows you to all tournaments, Marin Cilic confirmed that such support really means something.
"Of course, that's the backbone of everything, especially this part of my career. If the family were at home and I were on the road, it would be too short and I wouldn't be able to be away from home for so long, I believe I would have given up tennis. This way it's a pleasure, we create beautiful memories and my sons (Baldo is six years old and Vito is four) love tennis. I have a perfect balance between my professional and private life. I am maximally motivated and focused in tennis, and in the second part of the day I am relaxed again with my family."- he said.
Advice from his sons
The Croatian tennis player, as he has previously pointed out, has two sons with whom he tries to spend as much time as possible. He also revealed some advice he received from them, especially sharing his favorite one, which made all his fans laugh.
