Television coverage of the Masters at Alexandra Palace has caused confusion among some viewers due to a changed camera angle of the table.
The event, which is being broadcast in the United Kingdom by BBC Sport and TNT Sports, has a slightly altered camera perspective to previous tournaments.
Three-time world champion Mark Williams has been among the watchers who have questioned why the broadcast made the table look square.
The Welsh world number 27 posted on X: “Is it me or am I watching snooker on a 12 by 12 table? Looks square on my TV.”
The change has been caused by the main camera being moved back two metres at the black ball end due to extra seating being added at Alexandra Palace.
The camera at the Masters is usually angled at a 20-degree angle, but it is instead at 22 degrees this year.
BBC Sport contacted the World Snooker Tour for comment.
The tournament started on Sunday and will last until Sunday, 18 January.
The winner of this year’s competition will pocket £350,000 as part of a total prize fund of just over £1m.
