It’s a rematch over a decade in the making. Former undisputed champs Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira will run it back at UFC 326 for the BMF title in Las Vegas.
Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira 2 preview
The first meeting between Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23-8 UFC) and Oliveira (36-11 MMA, 24-11 UFC) took place in the featherweight division at UFC Fight Night 74 in August 2015. That one was unfortunately cut short just 99 seconds into the fight due to a strange injury to Oliveira. In March, they’ll meet again, this time at lightweight, hopefully to produce a more definitive outcome.

Since their first meeting, both have gone on to capture undisputed UFC gold; Holloway became the featherweight champion, and Oliveira the lightweight champion.
Holloway captured the UFC’s BMF title by producing a Knockout of the Year in 2024 against Justin Gaethje. He then dropped back down to 145 pounds to challenge Ilia Topuria for the title, but was stopped by strikes for the first time in his career. Holloway then returned to lightweight to defend his BMF title against Dustin Poirier at UFC 318.
Oliveira has been on a rollercoaster of results since 2022. He’s traded wins and losses ever since he was ineligible to defend the lightweight title against Gaethje due to missing weight at UFC 274. In his last outing in October, Oliveira submitted Mateusz Gamrot in the second round.
