The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament bracket is heating up—and now both semifinal matchups are officially locked in.
During the November 19 edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision, Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir scored a hard-fought victory over Tay Melo and Anna Jay in quarterfinal action, punching their ticket to the next round. The win also sets up a showdown between Bayne and Shafir and the already-qualified Timeless Love Bombs—Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa.
The match started with Tay Melo getting early control over Marina Shafir, tagging in Anna Jay for a double suplex before all four women brawled on the outside. Jay sent Bayne crashing into the steel steps, and both TayJay members hit a double crossbody from the barricade. Momentum was on their side—briefly.
Back in the ring, Bayne and Shafir absorbed the punishment and started to shift the tide. Bayne flattened Jay with a clothesline and re-entered later to wear her down, before Melo tagged in with a running knee and a German suplex to Shafir. TayJay landed a pair of DDTs, but Bayne and Shafir rallied. After a close near-fall from Bayne, TayJay nearly stole the win with a neck whip and submission attempt. But Bayne muscled out of the Queenslayer and shoved Jay into the corner.
That allowed Shafir to tag in and immediately lock in her signature Mother’s Milk submission, forcing Anna Jay to tap out. With the win, “The Megasus” Megan Bayne and The Death Riders’ Marina Shafir move on to the semifinals—where they’ll now face Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa, who watched closely from backstage and didn’t stay quiet for long.
In a post-match promo, Storm and Shirakawa addressed their future opponents and teased picking a stipulation at Full Gear. Storm referenced Jon Moxley and didn’t hold back, saying that once they’re done with Bayne and Shafir, Mox will be the one pissing himself in fear when he sees what they do to his little women.
The trash talk is officially underway, and the semifinal clash between these two duos is set to get personal—and violent.
