LAS VEGAS – Merab Dvalishvili and Cory Sandhagen crossed paths for the final time before sharing the octagon in the UFC 320 co-main event at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins.
Dvalishvili (20-4 MMA, 13-2 UFC) and Sandhagen (18-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC) had a final opportunity to square up after making weight earlier in the day, setting the stage for Saturday’s bantamweight title showdown at T-Mobile Arena (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+).
After defending his belt in January and May, Dvalishvili will attempt to become the eighth champion in company history with three defenses in a calendar year when he puts the belt up for grabs against Sandhagen, who has spent years craving his chance at UFC gold.
