The Phoenix Mercury have pushed the Minnesota Lynx to the brink of elimination and have a chance to clinch a spot in the WNBA Finals on ESPN beginning at 5 p.m. MST on Sept. 28 in Game 4 at PHX Arena.
The Lynx were dealt a serious blow in Game 3 when Napheesa Collier went down in the final 21.8 seconds of the game. Collier suffered a left ankle injury after Alyssa Thomas stole the ball from her, and Collier will be out in Game 4.

Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve won’t be behind the bench due to serving a one-game suspension for her “conduct and comments” in and after Game 3. Reeve was ejected following Collier’s injury and chased down one of the officials. She also had a profanity-laced news conference after the game.
The WNBA assigned Roy Gulbeyan (crew chief), Fatou Cissoki-Stephens and Amy Bonner to work Game 4.
The trio working Mercury-Lynx Game 3, Isaac Barnett, Randy Richardson and Jenna Reneau, will work the Indiana Fever-Las Vegas Aces Game 4 on Sept. 28.
Reeve and assistant coaches Eric Thibault and Rebekkah Brunson have each been fined as well. Thibault was fined for his inappropriate interaction with an official on the court. Brunson was fined for an inappropriate social media comment directed at WNBA officials.
