Michigan State football is heading to the desert to play a previous College Football Playoff team in the latest CBS Sports bowl projections.
CBS Sports has released their updated bowl projections, and despite a two-game losing streak, Michigan State is still included in the mix. The Spartans are now projected to play in the Arizona Bowl in Tucson, Arizona against Boise State.

The Arizona Bowl will be played on December 27. The game is scheduled to pit Mountain West Conference and Mid-American Conference teams against each other, but at-large bids could be awarded to other conferences if needed. That would be the case should Michigan State end up in this game.
The Spartans are currently 3-2 overall and 0-2 in Big Ten play. After a 3-0 start to the season, Michigan State has now lost back-to-back road conference games, including this past weekend at Nebraska.
Michigan State will need to pick up three more wins this year to reach bowl eligibility. That journey will start with a home game against UCLA this week.
