Michigan State football has earned their 18th commitment of the transfer portal season, beefing up the interior of their defensive line. The Spartans have added Toledo DT transfer Carlos Hazelwood into the class. The Markham, Ill. native will bring three years of eligibility with him to East Lansing.
A 6-foot-4, 270 pound interior defensive lineman, Hazelwood has played in 10 games over his two seasons, where he secured seven tackles and a half tackle for loss. In 49 pass rush snaps this season, PFF graded Hazelwood as an 84.3, the 12th best in the FBS. He accumulated six QB hurries and two QB hits.
