Michigan State basketball is currently squaring off with No. 4 UConn in an exhibition game in Hartford, Conn.
Michigan State picked up a win in their exhibition opener against Bowling Green last week, while UConn knocked off Boston College a few weeks ago in their first exhibition game.

Trey Fort knocked down a three-pointer for the Spartans’ first field goal of the game. That bucket cut the UConn lead to four points, but UConn has since bumped the score to 13-4 with 13:23 to go in the first half.

Huskies have jumped out to an early lead at the first media timeout. The Spartans’ lone point has came from a free throw made by Kur Teng.

Game Prediction
Prediction: UConn 80, Michigan State 73
While this is just an exhibition game, this should be a good measuring stick game for the Spartans and help us set expectations with the regular season starting next week. On paper, UConn is ranked among the top five nationally for a reason. With this being a road game, I’m going to lean toward the Huskies in this game. There’s still a number of unknowns for both teams, so I will not be surprised if the Spartans end up winning. But for now, I’ll go with the safe prediction of a close game that results in the Huskies holding on late.
