The Michigan State women’s basketball program has added a fourth transfer to its roster for the 2025-26 season.
The program announced on Aug. 15 the addition of Sara Sambolic, a 5-foot-7 point guard from Slovenia. Sambolic joins the Spartans after attending the University of Ljubljana the past two seasons. Sambolic has also been part of the Slovenia senior national team and played in FIBA Eurobasket.

“We are really excited about Sara joining our program,” MSU coach Robyn Fralick said in a released statement. “She has competed at a very high level with her national team and will bring lots of experience and maturity to our team. Her feel for the game and competitive motor will be great additions.”
Sambolic is one of seven new additions to the Spartan roster since the 2024-25 season ended with a loss to South Carolina in the second round of the NCAA tournament in March.
The other transfers MSU added in the offseason were guards Jalyn Brown (Arizona State) and Rashunda “Spider” Jones (Purdue) and forward Marah Dykstra (Montana State). The Spartans also added freshmen Jordan Ode, Amy Terrian and Anna Terrian.
