The University of Michigan had a strong start to a two-day double dual against Wisconsin and Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
In the women’s meet, Michigan started with a win in the 200 medley relay. Lexi Greenhawt, Devon Kitchel, Brady Kendall and Stephanie Balduccini finished in 1:38.29.
Balduccini won the 200 free in 1:47.40 and the 100 free (49.73). Hannah Bellard won the 200 fly in 1:56.37 and 200 IM in 1:59.99. Kendall won the 50 free in 22.46. Anna Boemer won the 100 fly in 53.60 ahead of Kendall (53.81).
Balduccini, Kendall, Leila Fack and Ella Jo Piersma won the 400 free relay in 3:16.84.
Wisconsin’s Maddie Waggoner won the 1000 freestyle in 9:53.94. Maggie Wanezek won the 100 backstroke (52.23) and 200 back (1:53.65). Brooke Corrigan won the 100 breaststroke (1:01.96). Blair Stoneburg won the 500 free in 4:51.77.
In the men’s meet, Michigan’s Tyler Ray, Luka Mladenovic, Colin Geer and Antoine Sauve won the 200 medley relay in 1:27.40.
Lorne Wigginton won the 1000 free in 9:03.77 and 500 free in 4:25.66. Sauve won the 200 free in 1:36.37. Mladenovic won the 100 breast in 52.91 and 200 breast (1:57.83). Geer won the 200 fly in 1:45.32 and 200 IM in 1:46.58. Ray won the 50 free in 19.80 and 100 fly in 46.54. Eitan Ben-Shitrit won the 200 back in 1:45.55.
Sauve, Mladenovic, Ryan Healy and Wigginton won the 400 free relay in 2:55.88.
Notre Dame’s Tommy Janton won the 100 backstroke in 47.24. Shane Eckler won the 100 free in 43.84.
