Michigan Wolverines running back Justice Haynes made program history on the ground Saturday at the “Big House” during a 24-10 win over the Wisconsin Badgers – history not made since Big Ten MVP Denard Robinson manned the quarterback spot.

The best part for Big Blue? Haynes has a chance to continue setting records with continued dominance on the ground.
“Thanks to another big day from running back Justice Haynes and the Wolverines defense, No. 20 Michigan (4-1, 2-0in Big Ten play) was able to do just that against their longtime Big Ten conference foe Wisconsin (2-3, 0-2),” USA Today’s John Leuzzi wrote.
“Haynes became the first Michigan player since Denard Robinson to open their career with the Wolverines with five straight games of at least 100 rushing yards. The former Alabama running back was responsible for two of Michigan’s three touchdowns on the afternoon, both 1-yard plunges into the end zone.”
Michigan improves to 4-1 on the year with the home triumph, picking up their second conference win after beating the Nebraska Cornhuskers 30-27 in Lincoln last weekend. The Wolverines face the USC Trojans in L.A., the Washington Huskies at home, and the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing to close out October.

Wisconsin faces a tough gauntlet the rest of the way that can cost Badgers head football coach Luke Fickell his job after taking a step back in each of his first three seasons in Madison.
The Iowa Hawkeyes, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, Washington Huskies, Indiana Hoosiers, Illinois Fighting Illini, and Minnesota Golden Gophers remain on the docket.
If Wisconsin can’t find three wins in that bunch, Fickell is likely a goner.
