Shepard needed just 21 minutes and 57 seconds to notch the milestone, breaking the previous mark set by Skylar Diggins in 2024. The forward finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists while hitting 10 of her 11 shots from the floor. Even more impressive, she didn’t commit a single turnover while logging all 40 minutes.

Minnesota had dropped two straight before this matchup, but Shepard’s all-around dominance set the tone. By halftime, she was already sitting on 11 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Her layup early in the third quarter gave the Lynx the lead for good as they outscored Indiana 32-17 in the frame.

Kayla McBride added a game-high 29 points, knocking down 10 of 19 shots, while Natisha Hiedeman chipped in 17 off the bench. The win moved Minnesota to 29-7, solidifying their standing among the top contenders.

Indiana stayed close late, narrowing the gap with a late fourth-quarter run, but couldn’t close it out. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 27 points, and Lexie Hull posted a career-high 23. Caitlin Clark missed her 14th straight game with a groin injury, leaving Indiana short-handed once again.

For Shepard, the triple-double was a milestone but not the focus. “If you’re gonna have a triple-double, you have to win the game,” she said. “I was proud of our whole team for getting it done today.”
