On Wednesday morning the SEC announced game dates for Mississippi State’s 2026 SEC schedule, which finalized the Bulldogs’ 2025-26 schedule. As noted last month, the Bulldogs will have a trio of home-and-home series with Alabama, Ole Miss and Missouri this season.

Also announced on Wednesday, the SEC and its television partners will finalize midweek game dates in addition to announcing tip times and TV network assignments at a later date.

The Bulldogs open the SEC schedule at Texas on Jan. 3rd and will then have their SEC home debut against Oklahoma on Jan. 6/7. Other Bulldog home games in the league in January include Alabama on Jan. 13/14, Ole Miss on Jan. 17 and Vanderbilt on Jan. 24.

In February, the Bulldogs will host Arkansas on Feb. 7 and will also have February home games against Tennessee on Feb. 11, Auburn on Feb 17/18 and Missouri on Feb. 28. Mississippi State will also host Georgia on March 7.

Once again, the SEC Tournament will be held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., from March 11-15.

Last month, Mississippi State announced that the 2025-26 season opener will be against North Alabama on November 5th, which finalized the Bulldogs’ non-conference slate. Also last month, the date for the Mississippi State-Utah neutral-court matchup in Salt Lake City, Utah, was set for December 13th.

Earlier this summer, the Bulldogs received their first-round matchup for the Hall of Fame Classic on November 20-21 in Kansas City, Mo. Mississippi State will open the four-team tournament against Kansas State on November 20th with an 8:30 p.m. (ct) tipoff time on Peacock. The following night the Bulldogs will face either Nebraska or New Mexico. Also this month, the Bulldogs announced a neutral-court matchup against San Francisco in Tupelo on December 7th.

Also in the non-conference slate, State will host Memphis, SMU, Southeastern Louisiana, New Orleans and Long Island at Humphrey Coliseum.

Mississippi State finished 21-13 this past season, including an 8-10 mark inside the SEC. The Bulldogs advanced to the program’s third straight NCAA Tournament under head coach Chris Jans and dropped a 75-72 decision to Baylor in the first round. During last season, the Bulldogs posted a 13-3 non-conference record, which included a 6-0 record at home, 2-0 mark on the road and a 5-3 record in neutral site non-conference games.

With at least 21 victories in the past three seasons, Jans is one of four head coaches in SEC history to total at least 21 victories and advance to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first three campaigns.
