Mizzou Athletics has announced that ‘Tiger Tipoff,’ a joint showcase for both the Missouri men’s and women’s basketball teams, planned for Friday, Oct. 10, has been canceled due to “scheduling conflicts.”
The event was originally planned to provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at a team practice, as well as an autograph session with Mizzou players and a discussion with head coaches Dennis Gates and Kellie Harper.

A source told the Tribune that the cancellation is due to an overlap with SEC Nation, which announced earlier this week that it will be in Columbia to preview Missouri football’s home game at 11 a.m. Saturday against Alabama. The set for the SEC Network’s traveling pregame football show is expected to be erected outside the main entrance to Mizzou Arena on Walsworth Plaza.
Doors were expected to open for Tiger Tipoff at 5:30 p.m. with the event set to begin at 6 p.m. The Paul Finebaum Show is scheduled to be on air live from the stage outside of Mizzou Arena from 2-6 p.m.

Tiger Tipoff was planned to be a new event. In 2023, the teams held a joint showcase called “Mizzou Madness” in front of the columns on Francis Quadrangle on the university campus. The event was not held in 2024.
