AEW World Champion MJF isn’t just carrying around the Big Burberry Belt—he’s carrying the weight of an entire locker room filled with top names trying to take it from him. And according to him, the list of contenders is getting real old, real fast.
While talking about his championship reign via WDW News, MJF didn’t hesitate to admit the pressure is constant, “Unfortunately, everyone is [trying to take the title].” He rattled off a stacked list of potential challengers, making it clear he knows exactly who’s in line to come for his crown:
“You got Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Hangman Adam Page, Samoa Joe, Brody King. I just wrestled a gentleman by the name of Bandido for it—beat him… And if Will Ospreay comes back, I know it’s something he’s gunning for.”
Each name comes with real firepower, but MJF’s confidence didn’t waver for a second. He reminded everyone that he’s already beaten some of them—and he’s not planning to lose anytime soon.
“These side plates are going to stay here pretty much till the end of time because I’m not going to lose this title ever.”
To close it out, he made his boldest claim yet—drawing a line between AEW’s legacy and everyone else’s show:
“To me, if you love professional wrestling, this is the only championship that matters. This is the real world title. This is the belt that you would want if you love pro wrestling.”
