MMA fans cry foul play after ‘suspicious’ UFC Vegas 110 line change

by

The MMA community is crying foul play after pre-fight betting odds “suspiciously” changed in favor of one UFC Vegas 110 underdog, who ended up easily winning in the first round.

The bout at hand was a featherweight meeting between undefeated Cuban prospect, Yadier del Valle, and wrestler, Isaac Dulgarian. Oddsmakers gave Dulgarian a sizeable edge during fight week, but something changed just an hour before the 145-pound fight took place.

Surprisingly, a lot of money came in on del Valle, who won his UFC debut earlier this year but was still the less experienced fighter. More specifically, bets started to come in on del Valle to finish the fight in the first round. Keep in mind, Dulgarian had never been finished in his entire career entering tonight.

The late action on del Valle even forced DraftKings Sportsbook to lock the fight from additional bets.

Well, del Valle went out and turned in a first-round submission, forcing Dulgarian to tap to a rear-naked choke. It should be noted that Dulgarian — who used to train under the controversial James Krause — initially fought the choke off and continued to defend as long as he could.

Before and after the fight, members of the MMA community took to social media to express their concerns for the suspect line change. Check out some of the reaction below and let us know your thoughts!
