βNo. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini 91, Missouri Tigers 48
For more than a week, Illinois has been stewing about its heartbreaking loss to Nebraska. It was a competitive game where the squad simply fell short in the closing minutes. Fans were hoping the group would use that as motivation for Monday night when it faced off against Missouri in St. Louis.
Fortunately, Illinois did just that.
Illinois not only went on to win this one, but did it convincingly, cruising to a 91-48 win. Keaton Wagler led the way with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Andrej Stojakovic also had a nice showing with 16 points. The teamβs offense was fantastic, finishing with 1.46 points per possession. Conversely, Missouri struggled for consistency and finished with just 48 points.
