TNA had to make significant changes to Leon Slater vs. Moose’s match at Slammiversary due to Moose’s injury.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Moose got injured very early in his match with Leon Slater. Because of this, they had to take out many of the planned moves. It was said that as good as the match was, it could have been even better if Moose hadn’t gotten hurt.
“Moose was injured very early in the match with Slater to the degree that apparently they had to cut a lot of planned moves out. It was said that as good as the match was, it would have been even better had he not been injured.”
Moose ended up losing the TNA X-Division Championship to Leon Slater at Slammiversary in a match that many hailed as the match of the night since both competitors gave it their all to entertain fans.
Following the match, Moose claimed he was going to take a break from TNA television but that didn’t really happen as he immediately appeared on TNA iMPACT this week and made it clear he was gunning for Trick Williams’ TNA World Title. Regardless, we’ll have to see when Moose will be 100% and get a shot at Leon Slater again, as fans feel they should have a rematch.
