Officials gather for new Aloha Stadium milestones
This news is a day old, but noteworthy. Hawaii’s New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) project can finally get moving after Aloha Stadium’s demolition has officially begun. The project is slated to be finished in 2029. Progress to be sure, but astonishing nonetheless that it took a little over five years for this to happen.

Northern Illinois coach Thomas Hammock resigns to take job in NFL
There is never a good time to lose a head football coach, but February isn’t the best time either. Northern Illinois, soon-to-be in the Mountain West, loses its coach Thomas Hammock to the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Expect more of this in general for college athletics, the pros are a lifeboat with the unstable chaos that is modern day college football.
