NC State women’s basketball unveils 2025-26 non-conference schedule

by

NC State women’s basketball released its full 2025-26 non-conference schedule, which features five home games, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wolfpack, which made its 17th Sweet 16 appearance last season, is set to clash with four teams that advanced to either the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 or Elite Eight a year ago as Tennessee, USC, TCU and Oklahoma headline the program’s early-season slate. The tough competition doesn’t stop there, either, as three other programs played in the WBIT or WNIT a year ago.

NC State is set to kick the season off against Tennessee in the Battle in the ‘Boro, which will be played at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro on Nov. 4 (4 p.m., ESPN2). The Lady Vols enter the 2025-26 campaign after making it to the Sweet 16 with a No. 15 finish in the Associated Press Top 25.

Once that tilt is over, the Wolfpack will head to Charlotte to battle USC in the Ally Tipoff, an event the team played South Carolina in a year ago, on Nov. 9. The Trojans won the Big Ten regular season title last season while it made the Elite Eight and finished the season ranked fifth in the nation.

NC State, which is riding a 23-game winning streak at Reynolds Coliseum, will host Maine for its home opener on Nov. 12. That battle will kick off a four-game homestand that features last year’s Big 12 champions in TCU (Nov. 16), Coastal Carolina (Nov. 19) and Rhode Island (Nov. 23).

After the Wolfpack’s first home stint of the year, it will head to the tropics for Thanksgiving as it will take part in the Cancun Challenge on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28. NC State’s opponents for the event are still to be determined.

The Pack will hit the road for its ACC/SEC Challenge contest this winter, visiting Oklahoma on Dec. 3. NC State is 2-0 in the event to this point, but the Sooners will be a critical test for the Wolfpack after making it to the Sweet 16 last season.

NC State will wrap up non-conference play at home against Seton Hall (Dec. 7) before visiting Davidson (Dec. 21) ahead of ACC play.

The Pack will also host an exhibition against High Point on Oct. 18 inside Reynolds Coliseum as star guards Zoe Brooks and Zamareya Jones, along with standout forward Tilda Trygger and the rest of NC State’s roster prepares for the 2025-26 campaign.
