Brown decommitted from the North Carolina Tar Heels on October 15. He initially committed to the program on August 3.

The running back has played nine games so far this season for Rolesville High School in North Carolina. He has 154 carries for 1,258 yards and 20 touchdowns. He has six games of 100-plus rushing yards, according to statistics from Maxpreps.com

The 2027 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks fourth in the country, per the Rivals Industry Rankings. A commitment from Brown would give Nebraska four blue-chip prospects in the class.

The Huskers need to add depth to the running back position and Brown would certainly provide it. They have recruited the position more effectively in recent recruiting cycles, and Brown would undoubtedly be a cornerstone commit for a group looking to take the next step.
