After a dominant last season, Nelly Korda is not going through such a great period this year. Namely, injuries spoiled her plans and prevented her from showing her full glory. The 27-year-old is still motivated to return to winning ways, but she does not hide her disappointment and frustration with everything that is happening to her.
In an interview with the media, she pointed out that her body is exhausted, stressing that the injuries keep coming back. When you're constantly facing obstacles, it's hard to stay motivated; but it seems that her desire and hunger for success has not disappeared.
“Yeah, it’s tough. I would say by this time of the year my body is definitely worn down. I do have some injuries I’ve had in the past that kind of linger that are never really fully resolved, that you still do PT on every single day, you do therapy.
So making sure you’re 100% with your body or as 100% as you can be is always the end goal going into kind of the first day of the event.“- she said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
International Crown
The American golfer revealed that her next appearance will be at the International Crown, and after that she will perform in Florida. The first tournament will be held in South Korea, while the tournament in Florida will be played from mid-November to December.
During this season, she did not manage to achieve a victory, but it cannot be said that the season was disastrous, considering that she even finished in the top 10 eight times.
If the injuries stop causing problems, we have no doubt that the next year will be brighter for her and provide an opportunity to win another important trophy.
Nelly Korda certainly belongs to the very top of the women's golf scene, with a great foundation for winning trophies. However, sometimes it is important to accept a chaotic period, seeing it as a chance to fix things and take important steps towards the future.
