The July 22 episode of WWE NXT went down in a big way, with a special venue. This week’s location was the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas. Ethan Page is still North American Champion, and he’s far from finished getting heat from fans.
Ethan Page came out this week on NXT to reveal a new NXT North American Championship. He got around to it by dissing the USA and Mexico.
Fans in Texas were furious about this promo, and they had to bleep out a ton of things that Ethan Page was saying. That included “shut the f*ck up” and “asshole” chants. Naturally, fans weren’t happy about this new title belt design, but that was the goal of the whole segment to garner heat for All Ego.
Ethan Page then revealed a brand-new North American Championship belt design under a cloth on a table in the center of the ring. This belt had a strap that looked like the Canadian flag.
Page went on to explain why Canadians are better, because they do things with pride and honor. He also said that the civilian life is better as they are healthier, hotter, and happier. Canada’s air is even cleaner. Then Ethan Page started singing the Canadian National Anthem, but Santino Marella interrupted him.
Marella got around to saying that he was discussing Ethan Page’s situation with Ava, and he believes that he can beat Page for the title. That is when Ethan Page was told that he will see Santino Marella next week.
