When the New York Liberty parted ways with Sandy Brondello a year removed from winning a WNBA title, it became clear they were going to take a big swing.
That connected Friday, as the Liberty have agreed to hire longtime Golden State Warriors assistant Chris DeMarco as their next head coach, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

DeMarco has been with the Warriors since 2012, helping the NBA’s latest dynasty team win four rings. He has head coaching experience, too, as he leads the Bahamian men’s national team.
